Responsibilities:
 
The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to execute L2/L3 test plan for company Gigabit Ethernet switching products. The candidate will setup and configure test equipments to execute the test plan and to reproduce internal or external customer’s issue. Candidate will monitor all software/hardware issues and will log them in the problem tracking database. Candidate will be required to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and must be able to keep a detailed log of all his/her test activities.  Candidate must have good troubleshooting skill in order to determine the root cause of the problem, and be able to work with the development engineers to test new features and functionality, including on-going issues/problems.

Requirements:

· 7-8 years of experience in software QA testing.
· Detailed experience in L2/L3 switch functionality, VLAN’s, IP Multicast, Routing and TCP/IP is must.
· Experience with SNMP v1, v2c and v3.
· Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems is must.
· Experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of switches and routers.
· Experience with Ixia traffic generation equipment is a plus.
· Education required: BS in Technical area, or equivalent experience
· Must be highly motivated and enjoys working in a fast paced technical team environment.
· Experience configuring switches/routers/servers and PC clients.
· Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
